...and that's the challenge, Readers. See Daniel Mendelsohns' wonderful piece in The New Yorker a few years ago, "But Enough About Me," that discusses memoir, why we like to talk about others while revealing ourselves, and lots of little truths but no absolute truth.
I'm mindful of these issues. I take them up, struggle with them, and try to find the happy medium in my own Boston Irish memoir, forthcoming 2021.
